THE PORTRAIT

THIS IS THE NEXT TO THE LAST STAGE OF THE PAINTING, SO I HAVE TO MAKE ALL THE CHANGES AT THIS STAGE.
IF YOU HAVE DONE ALL THAT I DIRECTED. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO MAKE ANY DRASTIC CHANGES.
I FIRST LOOK AT THE PAINTING AND ASSESS WHAT HAS TO BE DONE. I WRITE NOTES TO MYSELF AND COMPILE A LIST OF IMPORTANT CHANGES TO BE MADE. THIS ENABLES ME TO CHANGE THINGS ONE AT A TIME.
I SEE I HAVE TO CHANGE THE HUE (COLOR) OF THE PAINTING. THE HUE LOOKS TO CHROMATIC. SO I SET OUT TO TONE DOWN THE COLORS.
I THEN PUT MORE DETAIL IN THE HAIR. I BLOCK IN THE LIGHT AND SHADE AND THEN I PUT IN THE WISPS OF HAIR. I ALSO SOFTEN WHAT NEEDS TO BE SOFTENED TO BRING OUT THE WISPS OF HAIR.
I THEN WORK ON THE SAND IN THE CHILDS HAND. ITN WHAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE A PROBLEM TURNED OUT TO BE SIMPLE. JUST KEEP IT SIMPLE.
THIS IS THE FINISHED STAGE BEFORE THE FINISH.
